Three young Redemptorists (Seán Duggan CSsR, Brian Nolan CSsR and Tony Rice CSsR) were ordained deacons by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin on Saturday, 30 May 2009. The ordination liturgy was celebrated in our parish Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Cherry Orchard, Dublin 10. As deacons, they will now begin a life dedicated to proclaiming God's word. Seán will soon take up an appointment to the Limerick / Cork Mission Team as a member of our Limerick community. Brian will be based in our community in Cherry Orchard, but will also be a member of the Dundalk / Esker Mission Team. Tony will also join the Dundalk / Esker Mission Team as a member of our Dundalk community. The three deacons will be ordained priests by Cardinal Seán Brady, on Sunday, 06th December 2009 in Dundalk.
