Fâilte! Welcome to this website for and about Redemptorist proclamation of God's word in Ireland. Saint Alphonsus Liguori founded the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists) on 09th November 1732 to follow the example of Jesus Christ in proclaiming God’s word, especially to the 
poor. We Redemptorists belong to the Dublin Province of this world-wide religious community. We continue to follow Jesus Christ as Saint Alphonsus did, strong in faith, rejoicing in hope, burning with charity, on fire with zeal, in humility of heart and persevering in prayer. As genuine disciples of Saint Alphonsus we follow Christ the Redeemer with hearts full of joy; denying ourselves and always ready to undertake what is demanding and challenging, as we share in the mystery of Christ and proclaim it in Gospel simplicity of life and language, so that we may bring plentiful redemption to God's people in Ireland (Redemptorist Constitutions, No. 20). We have identified the proclamation of God’s word to people in Ireland through parish missions, solemn novenas and scripture-based preaching in our churches as an urgent pastoral priority. This website is dedicated to bringing you information about our ministry of proclaiming God’s word in Ireland, about our parishes where we are currently offering missions and solemn novenas, about our preaching in Redemptorist churches along with podcasts, preaching resources, bible-study video lectures and much more.

I was ordained a Redemptorist priest in 1983. Since then I worked briefly as a missionary in Brazil and as a parish missioner in Ireland. Since 1986 I have been involved in teaching the Bible at university level. I did my licence to teach at the Pontificio Istitutio Biblico in Rome and my doctorate at Trinity College, Dublin. I am a member of the Marianella Community in Dublin. Since September 2008 I have been given responsibility for all aspects of the proclamation of God’s word by Redemptorists in Ireland. In this ministry my Redemptorist confreres have given me the rather grandiose title of Provincial Delegate for the Proclamation of the Word. That means I am the Redemptorists' national co-ordinator for Parish Missions, Solemn Novenas and other forms of proclaiming God's word by our members in Ireland.
